Tour Starts from Eilat
A representative from Dan Tours will pick you up from your hotel at 7:30 and take you to the Arava border crossing to enter the Kingdom of Jordan. From here, it will take around two hours to drive to the ‘Lost City’ of Petra. This is an absolute must for anyone visiting the region! Once you arrive, a thirty-minute walk through the imposing canyon (Wadi Siq) will bring you to the entrance of the red rock city. One of the greatest wonders of the ancient world, Petra is an archeological, anthropological and geological phenomenon. Your private guide will explain the history, legends, myths and truths of this astonishing city carved 2000 years ago from the red sandstone mountains. Enjoy a buffet lunch in Petra and then head to the small, nearby village of Wadi Musa. Finish the day with a tour of the coastal city of Aqaba before returning to the Arava border to cross back into Israel. Arrive in the evening in Eilat.
