Day 1 ? Sunday: Athens
Today you arrive in Athens and are taken to your hotel. Overnight Athens.
Day 2 ? Monday: Corinth ? Mycaene ? Epidaurus
Leave Athens and cross the Corinth Canal which joins the Aegean and Ionion seas. After a brief stop, proceed to the ruins of Mycenae. In Epidaurus, visit the 14,000 seat theatre. Dinner and overnight in the port of Nauplion. (B, D)
Day 3 ? Tuesday: Olympia
Drive through the scenic Peloponnese by way of Tripolis to Olympia. Go through Arcadia, the home of the lute-playing Pan, Megalopolis, arrive to Olympia at midday. This is the cradle of the Panhellenic Games held in honour of Zeus. Modern Olympics are descended from Olympia. Visit the stadium that still houses the sacred eternal Olympic flame and continue to the Museum with is statue of Hermes by Praxiteles. Dinner and overnight in Olympia. (B, D)
Day 4 ? Wednesday: Delphi
Visit the picturesque villages and plains of the Western Peloponnese. At Patras you board a ferry and cross the Gulf of Corinth. Proceed via Nafpaktos and Galaxida to Delphi, the sanctuary of the god Apollo and site of the famous Delphic Oracle and the Nine Muses. The highlight is the majestic Doric Temple. Walk along the Sacred Way with its Treasuries and monuments and the Castalia Fountain. Dinner and overnight in Delphi. (B,D)
Day 5 ? Thursday: Delphi ? Athens
In the morning, visit the Museum of Delphi for a viewing of the 5th century bronze statue. Return to Athens via Levadia and Thebes. Overnight in Athens. (B)
Day 6 ? Friday: Cruise to Mykonos
After breakfast embark for the Cruise. Today?s port of call is Mykonos, a dazzling white beauty of a typical Cycladic island with a sophisticated jet-set atmosphere. Stroll at leisure through the white-washed, flower decked alleyways to the church of Paraportiani or along the waterfront to the famous windmills. Overnight on cruise. (B, D)
Day 7 ? Saturday: Rhodes
Morning arrival to Rhodes. Walk through the island or take our optional excursion visiting the Temple of Athena on the majestic, rocky Acropolis of Lindos. Overnight on cruise. (B, L, D)
Day 8 ? Sunday: Kusadasi (Ephesus) ? Patmos
This morning your cruise ship?s port of call is the Turkish town of Kusadasi. We recommend an optional excursion to the ancient Greek city of Ephesus. In the afternoon you sail to the Island of Patmos for a visit to this beautiful and rocky island, the source of much of the New Testament, where the Monastery of St. John houses an original manuscript of the Gospel. Day 9 ? Monday: Piraeus ? Athens
Your Aegean cruise ends this morning when your ship arrives to the Port of Piraeus. Day at leisure and overnight in Athens. (B)
Day 10 ? Tuesday: Departure
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your return flight. (B)
